One of Daily Monitor’s leading News Editor Alex Atuhaire has been fired, a move that has shocked many in Namuwongo based newsroom. Its believed that MPL is undergoing the usual talent review exercise that may affect senior staffers including Editors, Reporters and top managers due to incompetence.

Writing a short message, Atuhaire said the paper’s Managing Editor Charles Odoobo Bichachi was responsible for his woes.

‘Good afternoon Sister; it was nice working with you on Monitor projects; Bichachi recommended me out and I will be leaving immediately – we remain in touch as friends. Will alert you of my new work address – rgds Alex’ reads the message sent to an unidentified colleague.

By press time it was not possible to reach Mr Bichachi on phone to comment on the matter.
