President Museveni today announced a reshuffle of Permanent Secretaries with former Bunya East MP Vincent Bagiire named new permanent secretary in the Ministry of ICT while Kaliisa Kabagambe was fired from the Energy Ministry.
Other new faces are Doreen Katusiime(Tourism,Wildlife and Antiquities),Benjamin Kumumanya(Local Government),Bageya Waiswa(Works and Transport),Alfred Okot Okidi(Water and Environment), Amb Patrick Mugoya(Foreign Affairs) and Dr. Stephen R Isabalijja Former Victoria University VC who resigned recently under unclear circumstances taking on (Energy and Mineral Development).
Kabagambe was compensated with the post of Senior Presidential Advisor on Oil,Gas and Minerals.Former Health Ministry PS Asuman Lukwago is now the boss of the Education Service Commission.
Molly Kamukama has been named the new Principal Private Secretary to the President,replacing Mary Amajo. Maj Edith Nakalema Asizua retains her post as Personal Assistant to the president ,now deputized by Major Night Ikiriza.
