The NRM Electoral Commission Chairman Tanga Odoi and Deputy Secretary General Richard Todwong, could be in trouble after revelations of their staggering wealth rubbed the powers that be in the party and government the wrong way.
With staff at the NRM Secretariat on Plot 10 Kyadondo Road not paid salaries for over six months, suspicion has been rife that party officials could have siphoned off some of the cash meant for their salaries and invested it into properties like real estate.
As vice chairman of the Organising Committee that organised the NRM delegate’s conference, Todwong was in charge of a kitty of over Shs 2 billion which raised dust after delegates were given Shs 300,000 each in facilitation, rather than the allocated Shs 500,000.
Todwong is also the man that largely runs the finances at Plot 10 Kyadondo Road.
