KAMPALA: Makindye RCC Ibrahim Kagolola is dead
Shock gripped leaders and residents of Makindye division on Saturday following the death of the area Deputy Resident City Commissioner Ibrahim Kagolola.
According reports, Mr Kagolola succumbed to Covid19 after contracting it a few days ago.
“Another tragedy has befallen the country at the hands of Covid-19. The disease has snatched the Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Makindye, Ibrahim Kagolola,” reads the statement by the deputy RCC for Kampala Hawa Ndege on Saturday.
Hawa says that the late informed her of his illness last week and that she advised him to self-isolate and seek treatment.
Kagolola’s situation deteriorated on Thursday and he was admitted to Mulago hospital where he passed on Saturday afternoon.
Residentsof Makindye and local leaders revealed that RCC Kagolola has been instrumental in fighting the Covid19 in the division.
His death happened at a time when the health ministry is reporting an increase in the number of Covid19 deaths in Kampala.
