As the fall-out over the highly controversial shake-up of the Army leadership continues, President Museveni has directed his brother Gen Salim Saleh to oversee the seamless handover of power of top Army officers who were fired last night.
Daily Post understands that Gen Museveni directed that Gen Saleh ensures that all officers who have been fired gracefully hand over their offices and take up their respective offices without causing any chaos.

Gen Katumba is a popular figure in the Army, with his replacement Gen David Muhoozi a relative newcomer in the Army. Gen Muhoozi has been serving as Commander Land Forces.
