KAMPALA: Dr. Catherine Agaba who is currently recorded by the police as missing was at the time of her disappearance working with International Hospital Kampala (HIK). She went left home on April 16, 2019, according to neighbours.
It took her boyfriend (names withheld) to register a case of missing person at Kabalagala Police Division after her phone too went silent.
On-going social media campaigns point that she has never been seen nor heard from since then.
Security sources say that Agaba abandoned the house after picking ‘potable’ household items in three bags.
Since then, no one has seen her, not even heard from her.
“She left at will in broad day light. She carried two bags and another rolling one. She has never returned to her house,” a source said.
The mystery now remain on where exactly she is and why her phones are switched off.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango says that a matter of missing person was recorded with the police.
He declined to divulge details in the level at which police’s investigation has reached.
“The matter is before us (police) and my assurance to you is that our investigation has started,” Onyango said, adding that revealing operational details would foil investigation.
