KAMPALA: Victoria University has pledged to offer free first aid skills to rally drivers ahead of the Total Kabalega Rally that will be held in Hoima between 17 and 20 October, 2019.
The pledge to support the rally fraternity was made when sport officials visited the university to discuss the details of the growing working relationship.
According to the University Vice Chancellor Assoc. Prof. Krishna N Sharma, the university has designed a four hour short course training that will be offered to rally drivers and their navigators.
Dr. Sharma said the university is well connected with motorsport because the university promoter Rajiv Ruparelia a few months ago kick-started his rallying career and he is doing well.
Rajiv recently graduated to the Club Man Rally Championship (CRC) category in the National Rally Championship (NRC) events.
