APAC: In a proactive move to promote environmental sustainability and highlight the crucial relationship between water management and sanitation, the National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s Apac Area has extended its support to Apac Seed Secondary School by offering a variety of seedlings.
The donation, which includes mangoes, avocados, and guavas, comes in response to an invitation from the Apac District Local Government to partake in the ongoing Sanitation Week initiative. Commencing on April 15th and concluding on Friday, the 19th of April 2024, this week-long event aims to raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene practices within the community.
Recognizing the intrinsic link between water access and sanitation, NWSC has been invited to play a significant role in the climax ceremony of Sanitation Week. This event coincides with the celebration of “World Water Day,” observed globally on March 22nd, 2024, under the theme; “Leveraging Water for Peace and Prosperity.” As part of these festivities, Apac District Local Government has chosen Apac Seed Secondary School as the venue for hosting the ceremony.
Notably, the seedlings were eagerly received by the school’s administration, spearheaded by the Head teacher, accompanied by the Head of the Agricultural Department, and students specializing in agriculture.
