Senior Presidential Press Secretary, Mr Don Wanyama has been appointed as the chief executive officer Vision Group, replacing Mr Robert Kabushenga who retired early this year.
Vision Group chairman, Mr Patrick Ayota, announced the decision of the Board to appoint Mr Wanyama as managing director and CEO of the company on Tuesday.
Mr Kabushenga in January this year said he had opted for early retirement from the company citing personal reasons.
“This is to let you know that for personal reasons I have asked the Board for an early retirement and this has been accepted,” Mr Kabushenga was quoted as having said in a statement.
He said he was moving on to full-time coffee farming at his Rugyeyo farm in Wakiso district after leaving the company which he had headed as CEO since January 1, 2007, after replacing William Pike.
