COSAFA Girls U17: Uganda leads Botswana 6-0 at halftime

 MAURITIUS: Uganda Girls U17 are leading Botswana by 6-0 at halftime in Mauritius. The goals came from Margret Kunihira 4′ 24′, Juliet Nalukenge 6′ 14′ and Fauzia Najjemba 35′ 45′

Team head coach Ayub Khalifa has announced the 11players that started in the COSAFA Girls U17 semifinal match against Botswana this Friday at St. Francois Xavier Stadium.

Katuuso Community SS forward Catherine Nagadya makes her first start in the championship. She replaced Samali Nakacwa who started against Comoros in the last group A match.

Skipper Juliet Nalukenge leads the forward alongside Fauzia Najjemba and Margret Kunihira.

Kevin Nakacwa retains her central midfield role with Shakira Nyinagahirwa as her partner in the center of the park.

Olila High School’s Bira Nadunga and Kawempe Muslim SS player Stella Musibika will continue to pair in the central defence.

Patricia Akiror and Gillian Akadinda take over the right and left full-backs respectively.

‘We are 100% ready for this semifinal. We worked on all the aspects that will give us victory. All my players are focused and we shall play for a win.’  head coach Ayub Khalifa notes.

In case of a tier in the regular time. The match will progress to kicks from the penalty mark.
