KAMPALA: The CEO and founder of Uganda Funeral Service, Regina Naluyima Mukiibi Mugongo who ran the country’s first ever funeral home has succumbed to COVID-19.
She died from Entebbe International Airport as she was being flown out for Covid 19 treatment.
“May Almighty God rest her soul in eternal peace and comfort the Catholic Church fraternity, friends and family” a close source told the press.
Her death comes at a time when 956 Ugandans have already succumbed to the scourge that was confirmed in the country in March 2021.
Uganda on Monday commenced the administration of second AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in the government’s efforts to forestall the spread of the scourge.
