UK Convection Chairman Willy Mutenza Lead Investors to Uganda

Just a few weeks after the Uganda UK Convention, Willy Mutenza, the founder and chairman of the convention has already led a powerful delegation of investors into the country.

Yesterday, Mutenza together with the former Chairman of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Subhash Thakrar and his delegation met President Museveni at State House Entebbe.

Reflecting on what was discussed at the 6th edition of Uganda UK Convection, the delegates expressed the desire to construct prestigious and state of the art commercial structures in Kampala.

With the delegation including a team from Benoit, a firm which was behind the Westfield Supermall in Shepherds Bush in London, Mr. Subhash Thakrar assured President Museveni that he will handle the project with transparency, use local labour and capability to reduce costs adding that the project will bring investment value to the country like in other countries worldwide.

President Museveni welcomed the idea supplemented Mr. Subhash that; “Kampala City, which has extended from 7 hills to 21 hills also requires its skyline to be improved in design and structure.”

While at the 6th convention in London, Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga challenged Ugandans in the diaspora to take a lead role in marketing Uganda and luring investors into the country.
