South Sudan Rebels Attack Ugandan Buses

Unknown gunmen today Morning attacked 3 Ugandan Buses and abducted over 200 passengers.

According to the Police Spokesperson AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi, the attacked buses belong to Friendship, Eco and Gateway companies.

“The ambush was executed in the early morning hours of Monday at Alur junction in South Sudan by unknown people. They were taken to an unknown destination,” Kaweesi said

“The abductees were asked to carry the loot by the rebels as the Eco bus was burnt to ashes,”

Maj. Ceaser Olweny, the Fourth Division Spokesperson confirmed the abduction.

“It’s true that three Ugandan buses travelling from Juba to Kampala were ambushed this morning. We are yet to establish reports on what exactly happened as information are still scanty.”
