This annual event celebrates and recognizes outstanding contributions to Uganda’s tourism sector, with a particular focus this year on sustainability in hospitality. This year’s edition will be held this Friday, November 15, at Sheraton Kampala with Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa as the Chief Guest.
Competing alongside other prominent contenders, including Aquarius Kigo Resort, Four Points, and Serena Hotels, Speke Resort’s nomination underscores its commitment to eco-friendly practices and environmental stewardship.

How to vote in the Sustainable Hotel Awards Category
Fans and supporters of sustainable tourism can make their voices heard by voting in the Sustainable Hotel of the Year category. To cast a vote, visit the Ekkula Awards voting page and select your preferred sustainable hospitality leader [in this case Speke Resort Munyonyo] and click submit.
Online votes account for 50% of the total score, with the remaining 50% determined by the judges’ verdict. Leading in the public vote is not a guarantee of victory, as the judges’ insights and decisions are integral to the final outcome.
