Properties worth millions stolen at Observer Offices

Burglars broke into the offices of the Observer newspaper on Saturday night and stole 15 desktop computers and a number of other items.

According to the statement, the Observer offices on Tagore Crescent, Kamwokya, were broken into and at least15 desktop computers, several laptops and other assorted items were stolen.

Only keyboards and mouse devices were left behind.

The cost of the theft and vandalism is still being assessed.

The police are now hunting for the security guard, Charles Olupot, who was on duty after finding his gun abandoned in the compound.

The attack is the latest in a string of break-in at human rights organizations across the country.
