The Kyabazinga William Gabula might not take up the ambassadorial post he was named to by President Yoweri Museveni yesterday.
According to reliable sources, the Kyabazinga is consulting some officials of the kingdom and prominent Basoga heavy weights, on whether to take up the post of Ambassador Special Duties in the Office of the President, which many have perceived as an act of mockery to Busoga Kingdom.
According to the Constitution, cultural leaders are not supposed to participate in politics, and the Busoga sources say the post of Ambassador is political.
Pursuant to Article 122 (1) of the Constitution, the President appointed the following Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic missions.
The President has sent the names to Parliament for consideration and approval.
