High Court formally liquefies Oulanyah’s Marriage

The family division of the High Court has ordered that deputy speaker Jacob Oulanyah and his estranged wife, Winnie Amoo Oulanyah, should formally separate.

“Jacob Oulanya’s three year old marriage to Winnie Amoo is now over and each party should take separate ways,” said deputy registrar Justine Atukwansa who read Justice Nkonge’s judgement.

Winnie Amoo won the children custody battle and Oulanyah will have to issue a prior notice if he intends to visit them. They had two children together.

Oulanyah will also pay a monthly maintenance fee of $690 for the two children who live with their mother in San Diego, USA.

Oulanyah petitioned court last year seeking orders to formally dissolve his marriage to Amoo whom he accuses of abandoning their marital home when she left for the USA and denying him conjugal rights.
