Unstoppable Ugandan musician, Edrisa Musuza alias Eddy Kenzo might have missed out on a BET nomination list but with MTV Awards his name is still ringing bells.
He has been nominated in the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) at a nominations party held yesterday in South Africa.
The ‘Mbilo Mbilo’ singer was nominated in the Best Live Act category.
He is to battle it out with; Flavour(Nigeria), Stonebwoy(Ghana), Cassper Nyovest(South Africa) and Mafikizolo(South Africa).
Eddy Kenzo is no stranger to international awards having won a BET award last year.
The other artists nominated from East Africa include; Navy Kenzo, Alikiba and Diamond Platnumz – all from Tanzania. Sauti Sol from Kenya also has a couple of nominations. The awards will take place at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg on 22 October 2016.

Bebe Cool was the only Ugandan nominated in the awards last year though, he has missed out this year.
