Nile Breweries Limited, through their brand Eagle Poa has taken over the sponsorship of the FUFA Drum competition.
The deal was officially made public on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Pece War Memorial Stadium before hundreds of fans who watched the double header on match day two as Bukedi beat Tooro 2-1 and Acholi overcame Buganda 1-0.
The Eagle Poa sponsorship is valued at Shs 250M per year for a duration of three years.
This takes the kit sponsorship, stadium branding, prize money, medals, trophies, media and other logistics.
Representing Nile Breweries, Isaac Okwir, the Sales and Marketing Manager in charge of Northern Region was grateful for the partnership, one that he envisages as a big milestone for the parties in the box.

Esther Musoke, the FUFA Marketing Director lauded Nile Breweries for the continued trust and confidence vested into the football governing body in the country with this package.

Buganda Province is the reigning champion.
Nile Breweries through Nile Special Brand also sponsors the Uganda National Football team, Uganda Cranes.
Eagle Poa joins Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and NIC Holdings as other sponsors of the FUFA Drum.
