Brig Kandiho Disbands CMI Tracking Unit, Staff Suspended over Extortion

KAMPALA – The Chieftaincy of military Intelligence CMI has disbanded its tracking unit and suspended all its officers in the unit. DailyPost hast learnt.

The officers are accused of turning the unit into a business center of tracking businessmen and tycoon’s private life for money through extortion.

According to our highly placed source at CMI headquarters in Mbuya, CMI chief Brig Abel Kandiho disbanded the tracking unit and suspended its entire staff after getting intelligence that the officers had resorted to do tracking for businessmen and women in town who have been giving officers huge sums of money.

“It has been established that you no longer do your job but rather have opted to do business of tracking for businessmen and women in town who give you money, “source quoted Brig Kandiho as telling his officers.

Our source added that the furious CMI chief decided to disband the entire unit and suspend all its officers as investigations go on adding that he has set up a new committee to vet new officers to fill the vacant unit.

It is indicated that the suspended officers have been getting money from top politicians, civil servants, businessmen and women and other Ugandans and foreigners who would want to track their wives, men and girlfriends something that contravenes UPDF code of conduct.

Those who will be found guilty after investigations will be tried in the UPDF unit disciplinary court.
