Brian White transferred to Nalufenya as Police arrests two for illegally arming him

Two Police officers attached to Kabalagala Police post have been arrested and two more on the run for illegal deployment at Brian White’s home. Kirumira has been moving around with four armed police officers allegedly from the elite counter terrorism unit of the Uganda Police.  Brian was arrested last week for shooting businessman Victor Bitwire from Buziga – Makindye, a suburb of Kampala.

A Police riffle was recovered in his home when Police conducted a search and two officers attached to Kabalagala Police Station were arrested in connection to the incident.  The two officers were part of Kirumira’s security detail.

Contrary to this, Uganda Police force through its Spokesperson denied to have ever assigned Kirumira any police guards since he has never made a formal request for security. “There is no deployment as to the effect of guarding Bryan White. Whoever was involved will have to explain how he or she got there. Some are already in custody,” Kayima said.

However, it is still uncertain why Police had remained silent on the matter until then since Kirumira has been moving around with the police guards for some time. He once appeared in a city tabloid jogging under the protection of six heavily armed personal believed to be police officers.

“I am not sure that the police simply looked on. His action should be a lesson to all those socialites who love to get VIP treatment. It’s also a lesson to security personnel that are possibly into such habits,” Kayima said.

According to Kayima, they are hunting for the remaining officers who have been moving with Kirumira as well as guard his homes.

Meanwhile  after Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura  received reports that the gun he used to shoot his neighbour Victor Bitwire was not registered by any security agencies in Uganda, he immediately ordered Bryan White be transferred from Kabalagala police division in Kampala to Nalufenya, a high profile police detention facility in Jinja District.
